Hotel Volksschule - Hamburg

My partner and i had a fantastic romantic weekend at volksschule. The hotel was really nice with its unique design and spacious rooms. Breakfast was a highlight.

Though the hotel housed charming character, the staff's limited English proficiency made interactions quite challenging. I often found myself struggling to communicate basic needs, which led to frustrating moments . The area surrounding the hotel lacked appeal, leaving me wondering why the prices were so high given the overall experience.

Waking up each morning to an excellent breakfast spread and the charm of the stylish bar area. The convenience of nearby public transport was a bonus.

While the room was comfortable, the lack of air conditioning became an issue during the unusually warm weather, making nights a bit stuffy.

The Economy Double Room was such a pleasure. It felt spacious and comfy, with high ceilings. Loved the design-modern but still had that cool schoolhouse vibe. The bathroom was excellent too, with a big walk-in shower and even heated floors. Natural light flooded in, a nice touch. Oh, and the breakfast area was just steps away!
